I have used JK Moving several times in the past and have had positive experiences. I had to move at the height of the COVID crisis and this time, I had a terrible experience. The lead mover told me that my moving quote was too low for the amount I had to move (even though I had less furniture since I had requested the original quote) and that my move would exceed the hours allotted. He encouraged me to move many items on my own and they would just loosely pack the furniture since I didn't have far to move. At the very beginning of the move, he was rushing and broke a chair leg off by striking a door frame. I saw it happen. The entire move was rushed in an effort to end by the quoted time. Never once did I express concerns about budget but I felt bullied by the mover who was determined to finish by a certain time. When seeking reimbursement for the chair that was broken while PACKING (not even in transport), JK Moving denied my claim. I was advised that I should have purchased insurance for my move (which BTW was three blocks away). Horrible, horrible, horrible policy and I regret recommending this company in the past if this is their approach to customer service. Over the years, I've spend at least $3-4K in moves with them and the relationship ends over a $250 chair.

JK Moving just moved me for the second time! Both of my moves have gone extremely well, they are punctual and great about communication. All of my belongings were moved perfectly! Such a great crew of people also. I have previously worked with some other companies and I could not be happier that I switched to JK Moving! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My moving experience was amazing. The most professional staff ever. The lengths they went to for protecting both homes and all my property were over the top. Would highly recommend.

4/8/2020 With all that’s going on I took a early retirement with a rush Northern Virginia house sale to move to the country, so we didn’t have time to sort and pack. JK Movers came to the rescue, their excellent office staff took care of the details and the amazing moving crew boxed and packed the entire house with great care and efficiency. Everything was delivered and unloaded 84 miles away the same day. It was a perfect move and I thank them for their professionalism.
