Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center (SQCC)

Very educational and pleasant place to visit and enjoy many authentic materials. You can go and visit by yourself or with the family and friends.nnIf you are a teacher and you will go with your class, it will be a good experience as well.

Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center opened in 2014 to serve as a place that encourages Oman-USA mutual understanding. It's a beautiful building designed like a house of its size in Oman. It's open Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm to the public. Guests can walk through 1.5 rooms of learning about how people in Oman live as well as visit the large library. Throughout the building one can find brochures promoting Oman tourism.nnThey also host events throughout the month as well as Arabic lessons, etc.nnThe guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

Nice and educational experience

Amazing lecture today on the Indian Ocean spice trade. And a wonderful exhibit on Omani dhow (ship) construction.

Part of lovely Middle Eastern culture in the heart of DC.. Kind and helpful staff there. Also offer scholarships to study Arabic language!
