Good station.. clear information and helpful staff.. lots of food in the booking hall and on the platform...nTaxi touts are an issue... only take a cab on the meter... don't get into one that says the meter is broken or asks you to name your price... 50,000 will get you most places in the city...

Lots of aggressive taxi drivers waiting for you when you arrive. They have Grab taxi & motorbike here. The app works here but not in the city?

Not the nicest place on earth, but when we walked in ( family of 4, 2 young girls), very wet because of torrential rain, a friendly member of staff came over to ask where we were going. She came back a few minutes later to tell us the train would be 45 minutes late. Then, she came over before it arrived to guide us to the gate. I'd heard horror stories about train station staff in Vietnam, not speaking English, not being helpful etc. Rubbish - they are brilliant, like most people in Vietnam.
