BIG W - Bankstown

The staff are friendly and they have the items I need.

Really not happy with the toy department.nnI called looking for a particular range of toys it stated on website they had in stock and I purchased for Christmas last year the first release so they aren’t a brand new concept to big wnI called and asked if they had the new series within 30 seconds he claimed he had looked, nothing was on pallet and that he couldn’t check to see what other big w stores had stock as their systems had crashed.nnThis was all within 30 seconds.nI wasn’t believing any of this.nnLook I don’t live locally to this big w and I have been told by several stores if any big w in Sydney would have stock of things. This is the one to go to so I packed up and travelled 1 hour to the store.nnI wasn’t surprised to not only find the shelving stocked to the brim with the toys I asked about but they also had a featured display podium full of the EXACT toy I was asking for.nnI approached a female assistant (as the person I spoke to on the phone was male and I didn’t want to risk asking that person the question) but I asked if they were having trouble with their systems and unable to look up stock and she said there was no issues and she could do it.nnSeriously how and why did this happen over the phone ? I was very kind and courteous.nWhere is the big w customer service standard ?nnThis was a Saturday recently and that the toy “supervisor” displayed A clear disinterest in caring for and attending to their customers in their departmentnSaturday’s are proven to be one of the busiest days in toy sales and this is the service we receive when we could be panic buying for a child’s birthday party that afternoon or looking at spoiling our children on the weekend.nThis is the WORST experience I have ever had in a big w store and I beg of the Woolworths group to properly train and screen their staff they have on at particular times

Big W at Bankstown is not a bad store at all... but it is so understaffed that it is impossible not to feel sorry for the run off their feet staff that are there.... it seems Big W forget that being staffed and having low wait times and staff that can help is a massive factor in having open doors and being shut forever

I left empty handed.nBIG W systems waste your time.nBought a coffee machine on click and collect. I show up 4 hrs later and am told the click and collect team go home at noon.nThe Service Desk staff tell me that’s unfortunate and the confirmation email explains this (most definitely doesn’t). No one can help even though there is stock sitting on the shelf.nThey offer to cancel my order and let me buy in store. I go and pick one up but turns out I can’t then use the savings coupon. What a debacle.nWho makes up these rules?

I was unable to get the Samsung mobile phone I model I wanted from Big W Menai, Bankstown had a couple in stock and put one aside for me after a quick no fuss phone call.nThe shopping experience at both stores was exemplary! Nice to see.. cheers Big W❗
