National Car Rental

Rented at the airport. As an Emerald member all was set up and they had me ready to go in an upgraded vehicle. Lived the car as it was environmentally friendly and very inexpensive on gas.

Be warned - the staff at this location may not tell you important information about their policies, and this could result in extra charges showing up on your credit card. The person at the front desk did not mention that you need to return the car with the same amount of fuel it had when you took it. Therefore, I made the incorrect assumption that they would refill it with on-site fuel and just charge me the difference based on current gas prices. The consequence was having to pay nearly 100 dollars for just over a quarter tank of gas, as there is a fee tacked on for each liter of gas they put into it. While in hindsight it makes sense that they want you to return with the same amount of fuel to make their lives easier, this kind of policy should be mentioned up front to avoid people making incorrect assumptions like I did.

Tried to rent a car this past weekend (Saturday September 28th). Called the 800 number, reserved a car at the airport and the lady on the line assured us they had a car. Received an email with confirmation and reservation number. We then took a $40 Uber to get to the airport. The 2 men working the desk informed us they had no cars and that the people on the 800 don't know inventory???? They were not helpful at all. Luckily the lady working at the next booth (Avis) went out of her way to help us get a car.

Everything was good

Very good service and location. Highly Recommended. The staff really helped when booking the vehicle and provided assistance exactly when I needed it at the price I could afford. No hassles or pushing to sell other options when renting. They provided the service I expected without any surprises... I would and will definitely use National Car Rental in London again.
