National Car Rental

We needed a vehicle for one day while we got new tires on our truck and we always come to this location as they are so helpful and always treat us so professionally. We almost never have to wait!

Rented the car on Friday, and was told to drop it whenever the next day. We dropped it back in the afternoon and then charged an extra full day!!!! I called to explain we were told to return anytime, and they said I was lying 🤣 so rude and ridiculous!! Horrible customer service, but based on other reviews I'm not the first to deal with this nonsense. Never again....

WARNING !! This company will try and charge you for damages to vehicles that was there previously. Like many reviews here we had this scam happen to us. When you get your car the 1st staff member makes a very good show and puts you at ease that they are not very picky about Mark's that show up. So they dont mark down a lot of them. TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS FOR YOUR RECORDS!!! once you return the car the game changes. Since they know where damages are already they go right to it. They claim that it is new and they ask for your insurance instantly. We refused. We also told them that we would only pay if they can show there was no record of the damage before. (Not just the last 1 or 2) and that we needed proof that the damage was repaired. After a lot of run around finally they said they there is a claim already in for that damage. Protect yourself if you rent here. Document everything to the smallest detail. No matter how small.

This happened before as well, so I was extra conscious to take picture before dropping of the car, still they charged extra for gas even the tank was full. Sneaky way they do the business. Stay away from this franchise owned locations in Vancouver-island

What a bad experience with the customer service! They double charge me and no one takes responsibility. It's been more than 3 months that they promised to get back to me. No one did so far. I'm still trying to get my money back. Update: More than 10 tickets were opened, no one helped me yet.
