RBC Royal Bank

I have had a personal account with RBC for almost 20 years and a business account for the last 6. After depositing a good cheque from a well established friend, customer, and business owner the wonderful people at RBC decided that a $5k cheque was unusual and placed a hold on it. It’s now been over a week and still have to wait 2 more before they will release more. I spoke to several people at the branch and a few at the call centre. They know I need the funds ti pay bills and cover payments so that I don’t receive NSF charges but none of them were able to find a way to make their customer felt appreciated. I am going to be pulling my accounts shortly and see what other banks can offer. UPDATE: Thursday a much better experience... Trisha was able to explain what happen and although it was inconvenient it was done to protect my account. Trisha is great and I have updated my review for her.

Spruce Grove Royal Bank should be closed. Huge line up and only one person was working. Ten minutes lather another one showed up. If you have any question or you want help from them don't waist your time, drive to any Edmonton brunch. They should just keep bank machines in that location and let the personal go.

If you look at all my reviews I maintain being a positive person and until now only do reviews if they're 5 star. My experience at this RBC branch was so awful I had to do my first 1 star review. It would be 0 if that was an option. As all the customers were lined up 6' apart in the portical patiently waiting for their turn it was a very friendly and concerned bunch who were pleasantly conversing. The RBC employee who was allowing access in and out of the doorway was extremely rude to every client that she had to deal with. She obviously was annoyed that she was required to be working through this crisis and this was clearly reflected to all of the clients trying to do their banking at that time.

I find that when I go to the bank to deposit my cheque’s. I usually get the same teller and I find that she is really rude to me. This makes me feel not welcomed and want to switch my bank.

Royal bank no service and cost to much for fees.
