Cars, Trains or People - the tourist spots of the Canadian Rockies have them all but as dusk falls at Storm Mountain Lodge all I heard as we sit by the fire in the cabin is the crackling of the wood. No trains! Few people! No noise! There is no WiFi but if you want to connect you can do so with your phone but why would you. Connect with your loved one. Bring some games, bring a book, sit in the claw bath tub, go for a walk, sit in the red chairs and enjoy the view. Even better, sample the amazing meals from the kitchen! Must haves include the breakfast panini, mushroom frittata, smoked salmon sandwich, bratwurst, risotto medallions with basil and the granola bowl. It’s the small things here from the staff, to the mountain soaps, to the rustic cabin, to the immaculate kept grounds that truly make this a destination you won’t forget. And if you want to tour around the area, it’s a short drive to Banff, Lake Louise and Radium.
Our stay at storm mountain was incredible. The cabins were so quaint with its log insides, and wood burning stove. Being surrounded by trees and mountains made this the most peaceful stay. The staff here were great - especially Hayley who was so incredibly helpful and friendly. Even during a pandemic they made sure we had everything we needed. The cabins were cleaned and all precautions were taken to ensure the safety of its guests. I would definitely reccomend this lodge to anyone.
We spent a couple of nights in a log cabin and it was wonderful. It’s quiet and secluded, the cabin was clean, comfortable and very cozy.
The service and food were great. We only wish we had booked another couple of nights.
Even with Covid-19 restrictions in place we had a Fantastic stay at Storm Mountain Lodge & Cabins with our dog. The service was incredible and the cabins we stunning. We would absolutely recommend this for a night away and our stay here was worth every penny!
First off, Being from Nova Scotia, it was a real treat to find this Gem of a place with such a fantastic view, and at a very reasonable price! And secondly, the staff here were THE MOST friendly, helpful, considerate and fantastic hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with! Second to none!
The grounds are very clean and well arranged. No cabin is to far from the main lodge (food, coffee, snacks.) As well, the cabins themselves left me speechless. Cleanliness was A1, and there was plenty of space within for 2 people to move about. We had the stone fireplace going in the morning and the night for our 2 day stay, as there was plenty of fire wood stacked neatly at our disposal to do so. We had no troubles with the water. The woman filled the huge soaked tub both nights, and I managed to shower each day without issue. The only thing that we’re we’re slightly upset about is we couldn’t spark up the small BBQ we brought. However that isn’t the camps fault. Understandably, food like that being cooked so far into the grounds would no doubt have beats sniffing around. But many of the grounds and public parks in Banff (Central Park) were completely fine for a cookout.
10/10 Place! Will Definitely be back!
Huge thanks to our hosts at Storm Mountain Lodge!
