Economy Rent A Car

Even 1 is too much. The worst place to rent a car ever. Do not rent at this place.

I suggest you make your complaints to consumer protection. I did. These scammers are just that scammers. If enough of us file complaints there will be a investigation into their shady business practices. This is what I found in the car when I picked it up! Yet they charged me 50$ for not vacuuming the car after I rented for a month!! I have rented with legitimate car rental companies many times none I repeat none ask you to vacuum the car. That is their job. These people do not do their jobs look at the pictures! That’s how the rent out their cars and then they ask you to clean it. What? They are illegitimate be careful do not give your credit card information. Do not rent from these people there are really good affordable car rental companies.

Don't even deserve 1 star form me. But since I can't not choose any star I'll go with one, although they don't even reserve a 0, more like a minus. I booked a car a week in advance via kayak.com to go to Toronto. Received email confirmation and all that. Then on the day of the departure from Montreal I showed up and they told us "oops no car, we overbooked and now there's no car for you", not even apologetic. The guy at their shop on Saturday Sept 5 (name: Michael or something, refused to even say his last name, so maybe Michael is fake as well) was even rude talking to us. He then said "you guys should go talk to the online people, you should have called us to confirm reservations". I mean, this never happened before. I then had to go to the airport and took an SUV for double what I was gonna pay at Economy because I have to be in Toronto that day. Know what? I'll stick to my regular companies from now on (Alamo / Discount) and no more from these small lame fishes. Enough.

I never write bad reviews about companies but this is just too much. I rented a car with them that clearly stated « UNLIMITED MILEAGE ». My husband needed unlimited mileage as he was going to drive very far. He got to the office, the address was wrong (abandoned building). Once he found the correct building, the gentleman forced him to take coverage (would not accept no) and told him he’d be charged 20 cents for extra mileage. We showed him the contract clearly stated the mileage was unlimited at which point the gentleman argued, got defensive and said it was false. We didn’t want to waste more time, said we’d cancel and they still charged us 80$ for canceling. We’re going to take this further. Stay away from this company. Total total fraud.

Absolute scam. When I booked through rentalcars.com it was $250 but my final bill was $495. The booking said unlimited mileage but they charged extra for excess mileage and at no point did they mention this when I picked up the car. There are also additional charges added on the final bill which were not there on the booking confirmation. When I called the office, the guy was very rude and didn't provide any answer for the extra charges and just said you can complain about it. I'm checking if there is any legal action that can be taken against them, even if I don't get anything back, at least there should be a way to prevent other people from being scammed by them as well
