CIBC Branch with ATM

If i could leave a review with zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Asked to speak with someone for general information. 15 minutes it took front end staff to tell me all the reasons they couldn't help me. Finally spoke to someone who proceeded to tell me in they could see me in "maybe a week", but likely wouldn't be able to help me either. Lol

Hands down, am dealing with the WORST customer service out of this branch yet. Have banked with CIBC for 30+ years and am ready to pull the pin and seek a different bank altogether. Would give a zero star if I could.

Wow the reviews are rough, I went in today to get a foreign check cleared that I tried to edeposit but apparently if you edeposit a foreign check it takes 15 days to clear or longer, upon asking for a supervisor the clerk did give me a bit of grief but I was told by the internet department to speak with management at the bank, after asking a few times she finally got one, the manager was extremely professional and helpful in helping me to clear the check and advising me how to proceed in the future with foreign pay, overall the clerk and the manager did a great job, I was honestly expecting to have to wait another time period.

I agree with many of the other reviews here, the customer service here has been absolutely abysmal, particularly with the front end staff. Tellers like Brenda and Krista are often intentionally rude and looking for any pretext to deny service. There is no way that a banking customer should be paying fees for the kind of service that CIBC has provided me with. It is a pain to switch all of your automatic payments over to a different bank, but in this case getting out of CIBC is a no-brainer. The management is clearly not interested in retail customers.

9 tills only ever have 2 open always a line of 8+ people, and tellers are slow and uninformative always need to get supervisor as they are poorly trained. Prob gonna switch banks too cheap to be fully staffed not sure I wanna bank with cheapskates
