Thrifty Car Rental

Worst car rental experience we have ever had!!! We had a rock chip that turn it to a crack. We paid for the damages and now have been waiting 2 months for them to give us an itemization of the damages.We can’t get our money back through our credit card until we get this! We will never use them again very disorganized company!

Helpful for finding appropriate-size car for needs. Some waiting required for car delivery. New Toyota Camry LE adequate transportation. Charged $49 for rock chip damage. Very convenient location of Rental Car Centre at Edmonton Airport.

I have called their customer service to ask if they would take a debit deposit as I dont have a credit card and they said no problem, but when I showed up to edmontonnfrom ontario, they told me now way.. I was stranded without a vehicle... I used public transit with a large suitcase... not easy... they need to get their info correct... I was si upset..

I used thrifty in Edmonton airport . the worst car rental experience I have ever had, at the time of pick up the guy was not helpful, charges us more for reasons that was completely unnecessary , wasn't very nice when declined the insurance after troubles with my credit card . charged our credit card more without telling us anything "I found it when I checked the credit card statement" at the time of returning the car the employee was very rude " I do not even know how she works in customer service , she did not even say Hi or anything, she asked me If I want a receipt and when I said yes she rolled her eyes!!!! when I was leaving I told her to have a nice day and she did not even replay . overall very bad and rude experience , stay away from this branch and save yourselves a lot of troubles and use any other office. for me no thrifty or hertz business ever again.

I recently used Thrifty Car Rental at the Edmonton International Airport in mid-August. As the initial service was great, the return wasn't so smooth. I left an item in the car and I knew where it was. Filed a lost item report within 1 hour as well as called the service at the airport. Nobody returned my call or responded to my email inquiry within 5 days so I filed another lost item report. I never heard from anyone until over two weeks later I decided to make a phone call. The agent I spoke told me they would look into the issue and get back to me. They never got back to me and I called another agent the following week, over 1 month later. They actually happened to locate my item and they helped get the item sent back to me. Your lost item report system never replied to my inquiry and I had to take further steps to resolve the issue. The customer service was poor and if it wasn't for me going the extra mile to locate my lost headphones I would have never gotten them back. I am very disappointed in the effort and lengths I had to go to even though I followed all initial steps for item recovery. For this reason I no longer recommend thrifty to friends and family and I am skeptical about using the service again in the future.
