It is a little bit small but very nice monument. The only thing I had a problem with was that if you want to take some pictures to see whole the monument, but in the same moment not from far, you need to stop in the middle of the road - but drivers are evidently used to that.

Its a beautiful lavish gate. Loved seeing the sight of it.

The old port leading to Paris from te walled Lille. It has a lot of different symbols to spot representing Luis XIV the Sun King. Look at the sides and you will find the Mars and Hercules that represent the powerful King. Behind you can see the City Hall and in from there is a little lovely coffee shop. We started the walking tour from there and we learn a lot!!
