My favorite fort in the area. A very nice hike up to it and lovely views

Breathtaking view of Briançon and its surroundings.
A trip back in time. Landscape took your breath away. Lost time found
On the photos taken from Fort Dauphin (for the son of Louis XV, who will also be the father of Louis XVI) we can see the Fort du Randouillet in the upper right corner.
The climb from the car park below the fort des 3 heads requires 185 m of elevation. The view over Briançon is really plunging 😉. And the climb is gently sloping. You have to get information to visit it because it is very often inaccessible to the public.
