Château Laniote

A superb place to visit. The host, M. Arnaud de la Filolie took great care of us and made of this visit a very entertaining experience through magic trics and jokes while giving an educative tour of his vineyard. And it comes without saying that the wine was fabulous. Do not miss an occasion to visit this beautiful place and to spend time with their wonderful owners.

Amazing chateau with an amazing wine and even amazing owner. Always friendly and cheerful on his tour.

Took 7 euros for a short magic show (5mina) and gave us a sticker.

The Chateau itself was beautiful and you could reach it by walking from the downtown core of St. Emilion. The price was only 7 euro so it was very affordable and there were spots to sit outside take photos. The downside is that you pretty much get what you pay for. The tour is very short as it is a small chateau and you watch a video for 15 minutes. Additionally, the owner/tourguide kept making jokes about how much he hates his wife which made my friends and I uncomfortable and not wanting to go back. It might be just a "joke" but when it's repeated every 10 minutes of the tour it gets old and we just wanted to leave early. The owner is very cheery and funny with other jokes but I would not recommend solely due to these "jokes" about his wife.

We had a nice visit to GCC Chateau Laniote. The owner was very friendly and humorous. We bought a bottle from their 2015 collection, it was about Euro36. When we told them we are on honeymoon, he then kindly waived off the tour fees for us! It was sweet!
