Denby Campervans

We have had our lovely campervan von Denby for eighteen months now. They are a great company to deal with - so friendly and helpful with good advice. We have really loved what they have done with the van to accommodate our (and our dogs’) needs. Especially praiseworthy is their customer service - exemplary! No problem is too small or unimportant. As a ‘mere’ woman, I am never embarrassed to go to them with my questions. Steve, Lloyd and Jonathan are the ones I have dealt with, but ALL the staff are to be given gold stars! Thank you all for making a dream come true for me. 💕

I always base my reviews and judgements on how company's respond when things go wrong, hence it is over two years since we bought our camper and have have lots of experience to inform this review. From the outset, the folks at Denby's were very warm and professional, we had a tour of the workshops, spoke to some of the workforce and saw for ourselves what goes in to their conversions. We visited a couple of times after shopping around before taking a test drive and agreeing a purchase. The price seemed high but was comparable to other quality conversions, not back street garage jobbies. We have previously owned a 1969 VW camper and visited many shows, so we knew a good conversion from a bad one, and these are some of the best. I wanted an awning rail added and this was done without extra cost. The van performed brilliantly until last autumn when the bed stuck in the down position (embarrassing, I know) whilst on a camping trip; we rang several dealers whilst away in an effort to resolve the problem but nobody wanted to know, so we aborted the trip. We rang Denby's on our return who asked us to call in, which we did. Within two hours the bed was fixed and modified to prevent a recurrence, again at no cost and with a smile. We are just back from touring Scotland, the van did Inverness to Stoke in one day (400+ miles) without incident and is a joy to drive and to camp in. I cannot speak highly enough of Denby's, based on these experiences and would recommend them without hesitation.

We went to Denby as it is only a 10 minute walk away from where we live. We went several times in the hope of procuring a VW camper van locally so as to keep in close contact and to support a local business. However, the lady who dealt with us was rather frosty and didn’t seem to mind if we bought one or not. I picked up on this, but my wife persevered with ongoing emails and texts. After looking at these messages, I saw that what was being offered was nothing short of extortionate. Finally, after a face to face attempt once more (and a ‘well we’re selling loads at the moment’) we decided to go elsewhere. We got a much better spec, 45,000 lower mileage AND much better service elsewhere for £3,000 less than what we were offered. We were told about Denby beforehand, but thought we’d judge them ourselves on merit. We did... We’re glad we held out, and weren’t pressurised.

Had new hard top roof on my camper not a very good job it leacked wet through all inside a mess at the front sealant left on top 2 window seals cut and left hope it's going to get done not HAPPY
