Absolutely terrible experience. Was quoted £380 online for my fully functioning 15 year old hatchback. The price was then revised down to £50 after the car was checked over in person, with very cosmetic scratches and blemishes accounting for a £215 reduction in value vs the average car of that age (which is completely untrue, as the car is in excellent condition for its age). Amir then went through a ridiculous exercise of pretending to "call his manager" and getting special permission to move the price up, which he did in a farcical live demonstration of how strict his online pricing tool was in letting him change the offer. He then claimed he was in fact the manager and nothing could be done to move the price beyond £177, even after I showed him a quote for scrap for a similar price. Amir then brandished a letter with the met police logo, without actually letting me read it because it contained "sensitive information". This letter was supposed to be proof that all scrapyards are crooks and will joy ride my car and leave me with speeding tickets. I have now sold my car for scrap now for £3 less than WeBuyAnyCar were offering, as I would rather the car be destroyed than provide any commercial gain to such a dishonest trader who treats customers like children with ludicrous negotiating tactics. I would advise anyone to look elsewhere!
Don’t waist your time!
Awful experience!!! If there was an option I would rate them 0 stars!
My husband and myself booked an appointment this afternoon for a final valuation after having the first one online and where “greeted” by a extremely unprofessional member of staff!
We were first left waiting by the carpark for ages ,when the member of staff arrived told us that he was running waaaay behind schedule so he would be at least half an hour or longer and without even looking at the car (which is in superb condition) said straight away that anyway... just to let us know.. whatever the online valuation was .. it will drop down at least of a couple of hundred pounds +fees !!
We asked roughly of how much he thought that they would drop it as we could have gone for a coffee and wait for our turn... and in a second a “couple of hundred pounds” got to £500-£600 or more !
Again... without even checking the car!!!
What kind of game is that???
Is this the way you treat your potential customers???
He seemed not bothered at all about checking out our car and was clearly rushing to get to his other customer (which had a far bigger car than ours .. so definitely more commission for him than our Fiat 500 would have given him) !
When I suggested that we could wait for him to check the car once he was done with the other customer, he looked kind of annoyed and repeated again and again...and again... that he would valuate it anyway way below the offer we got online !!!
Extremely disappointed by the unprofessional service we received!!!
DON’T WAIST YOUR PRECIOUS TIME WITH THEM!!!!!
A very disappointed Customer!
My visit to Ealing branch, first of all a business should be safe for the public, which this branch wasn’t. To me looked like a storage unit in a basement. Guy who dealt with me should be vetted as he wasn’t normal at all. He was shaking my hand after every five minutes and asking the same questions over and over then apologised after. He didn’t even check the car properly. My car was almost new. He said honestly we wouldn’t want to spend too much on the car. So my friendly advice to you guys. Use them if you got an old car or things you can’t fix in the car and if u wanna quick sale. Because they don’t know anything about the car , except mileage, and service. Good luck
BEWARE!!!!
I know this post is long but it’s worth reading.
We Buy Any Car in Ealing tried to scam me (I believe).
The concept of We Buy Any Car is simple. You put your car details in online, they give you a price, you take it to them and after they tell you all the things wrong with your car they offer you a smaller price…..if you sell it, that’s up to you, simple.
Weather you like the concept or not, that the way it works and it’s above board.
The best thing to do to save time is enter in online everything wrong with the car before you go, dents, scratches etc so you have an idea of the real ‘value’ before you go.
When I arrived I met a young man who was grateful I’d entered so much info beforehand…although he said ‘we need to check the car over anyway’ (which is fair).
On top of what I’d claimed he pointed out a dented panel and scratched alloys. Which was fine.
We went back down stairs and as he updated the system he chatted to me about my work etc.
The result was (taking into consideration the £49 admin) the new price was lower and as I knew the system made the calculation (not him), I was happy, cause I know how it works.
HOWEVER!!!! Just before we tied everything up I said. ‘Will I get a print out of all the changes you made’. He said ‘no’. I then said ‘let’s go through the changes because I obviously don’t know what you put into the system’.
He started to go through them and then mentioned I’d been deducted £177 for dents in 2 panels!!
I said ‘2 panels!!!??’ He said ‘yes, the bonnet is dented’. I said...’you never mentioned that upstairs’. He said...’ I thought you knew so I didn’t mention it’. (If I knew I’d put it in before I came).
I said lets go upstair and look. He spluttered and stuttered and we went out to see a bonnet with NOTHING wrong with it.
He spluttered some more and said some garbage like ‘if you’d have waited to hear what I was saying I was trying to help you….I’ll divide the £177 by 2 and take the £88 off the total’…….how thats supposed to help me?????
I stayed quiet for the rest of the meeting as he was so full of it there was no point in trying to point out the blatant scam he (seemed) to be pulling.
BEWARE!!!!
Con artists. Get a valuation on their site and then they come in 150% lower, they know all the tricks and have set up the whole system to be able to deceive and rip people off. Better off selling privately or even going to a car dealer.
