Autolink Car Sales

Went with my partner to this showroom yesterday as he is looking to buy a new Mercedes and drove from Reading to London to view a car we saw advertised online. Firstly, the customer service could have been much better. The girl on reception in the office showed us the car, plus another similar one and didn’t seem to have much knowledge of the cars at all. She couldn’t even get the engine sizes right for the cars even though it was written down on the sheets of paper for each relevant car. We wanted to do a test drive but we were told that this would not be possible until Wednesday when the full AA inspection plus a full service would be completed on the car. On looking at other negative feedback we now see that they charge a refundable £100 for a test drive with £10 retained as an administration fee. At no point was this mentioned whilst we were there. We decided that we really wanted the car and after trying to negotiate a slightly better deal which they wouldn’t budge from, my partner agreed to pay the full price with the £500 non-refundable deposit for the car to be paid that day, with the plan to return Wednesday, test drive the car and hopefully with no faults, drive it away that day. However, the receptionist/sales lady said we wouldn’t HAVE to pay the £500 deposit as we were a bit uncomfortable paying it without test driving first and she confirmed on more than one occasion after double and triple checking with her, that we had her word for it that she would not let the car be sold to anyone else. Basically, she promised it was ours for Wednesday. Well, today, Tuesday, she has called to say that someone had just received finance on the car and it has been sold to them instead. She seemed not to care AT ALL that she had broken her promise and all she could say was “sorry, there is nothing I can do”. This was a massive disappointment and we have asked for the manager to call back of which surprise, surprise, he hasn’t. This led us to check reviews about this showroom and we’re now thinking we may have had a lucky escape. Avoid this place as the customer service is terrible, they do not keep their promises and have no respect for their customers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Worst company ever! Sold me a car with ( upgraded ) warranty and within 6 months and less than 3000 miles , the car is falling apart and they, as well as their warranty company, are refusing to take responsibility for it. I've been without a car for over two months now and I have to pay out of my own pocket to have it fixed. Poor service. Unfriendly management. DO NOT USE

Went this morning with my wife and children to view a Honda Civic I had seen online. The only person on site (that I could see anyway) was a young woman who showed us down to the car then disappeared off for a few minutes to find the keys. When she came back she couldn’t start the car as the battery was dead. Fair enough they have been closed for a few months because of COVID-19 (she told me) but I made the appointment to view this car last week. Plenty of time to get it ready and put a new battery in. By the time she fetched a battery pack to jump start it we decided we had seen enough. She didn’t seem remotely bothered either way. Reading the reviews on here I’m glad we left when we did.

We were looking to buy a car that we had reviewed on line. Myself and my husband went down to see the condition of the car. We wanted a test drive and my husband took the car for a drive and I had asked if I could test drive the car but was told it’s their policy that only one person can test drive the car which is ridiculous especially as we were looking to spend £9000 that day. All they need to do was allow me to test drive the car (we even paid the £100 deposit where only £90 would be returned) and they would have had a sale if I liked the drive of the car. But reading the reviews on here about their poor after sales I am glad I didn’t purchase with them.

I first got in touch on Friday and asked for a detailed walk around of the condition of the vehicle. The guys were super helpful and accurate and highlighted the actual condition of the car I was interested in. Few minor stones chips and marks that would be expected on a 3 year old car. Full history checked out with Audi. Paid my deposit and arranged a collection for the following Tuesday. The car was as described with no nasty shocks on arrival. Considering it was a long trek for me from Bristol to London to collect, the complete professionalism in which I was dealt with over the phone I was very confident all would be as it should. Nothing was too much trouble, they even collected me from the train station with a nice welcoming cup of coffee to boot. The car was beautifully valeted as well, trust me you will be surprised the number of times I have purchased a car that wasn't. The handover was slick and I was in and out in less than a hour. Couldn’t be happier with the end result of my New Audi A6 Avant. Great family run operation with a stunning showroom. I will definitely buy my next car from these guys again and recommend them to others for a quality used car. Well worth the trip if you are looking for a quality used car.
