This review is two months after i purchased a car from this dealer. Before buying a car from RD Motors, I read a good number of reviews before I travelled up from Sussex to look at a range of cars they had for sale. As with most reviews you have to take them with a pinch of salt as peoples expectation of used car purchases is very different to mine, especially for what you pay. I think you just have to be sensible inspect the car properly and look at the cars history and decide if it's for you. One of the reasons for travelling so far was because they have a large range of stock and all very competitively priced and I could see a number of cars I was interested in all in one place. The car lot is stacked full of cars and might not be the most presentable but uses the space available to its full capacity! I was allowed time to check the car over and test drive without anyone hassling me for the sale, which was great. There's a track next door to complete your test drive which is really handy and gives you a bit more time to test and inspect the car. I found the whole experience great and staff helpful and ended up buying what I wanted. The car came with a 3 month engine warranty, any issues and it has to be returned to the dealer for any works, which isn't ideal when you live miles away and hopefully I don't have to. I understand why the dealer would do that as it saves a number of the negative issues that have been reported on these reviews. So in summary I was very happy with my purchase , well as happy as any man can be having to buy a 7 seater! I would definitely recommend and would happily visit again when the time comes to purchase another car.

I would give zero if I could. I phoned to arrange viewing of a BMW 1 Series. I live 40 miles away. Got there to see the car and it was 3 cars deep in the yard, filthy dirty on the outside and had a flat battery. The guy got it started, and when I made an offer based on taking it for a drive he smirked and said it was priced as it was because it needed a clutch release bearing. Firstly, pricing was too high on that basis, and I've been in sales in main dealers for 11 years, secondly when I said his advert didn't say that he said he couldn't list every scratch or noise on a car. I said to him he knew how far I was coming and that maybe he could have told me when I spoke to him on the phone. Needless to say I didn't buy it. He's rude, arrogant and clearly has no interest in selling his stock or getting repeat business.

Very positive experience myself. Just picked up a 2014 Vauxhall Astra 2.0 CDTI from these guys and no issues at all either end. 130 mile journey home was comfortable and everything is in good order. Still early days but but what more can be said. Awesome experience and a great purchase. Not too sure about some of the negative reviews on here - the guys literally have their own run way next door. On arrival the encounter was friendly and brief before Lucas drove us out of the tightly packed forecourt and into the test drive area - mad driving skills on his behalf and made navigating the forecourt look far to easy. Was then left with the car and keys to have at it whilst he waited back at the office for us. There were only 3-5 cars in the test area when we first started and closer to 10+ by the time we’d seen enough to seal the deal, and also easily enough road for 3 x that amount too so no real reason not have a good run on any car before a potential purchase. We passed some guy testing what looked at quick glance to be a BMW and the expressions of joy exchanged between us whilst making way for each other was priceless haha. Maybe I don’t buy cars often enough but this outfit was miles ahead in terms of what I was expecting before arriving. Would not hesitate purchasing another car from here in the future. We have recently purchased a Mitsubishi outlander from R D Motors and honestly couldn't be happier with the car and service these guys provided us with. Upon test driving we discovered the passenger door wasn't working from the inside and a fault with the radio when pointed out to them it wasn't an issue and soon had the problem resolved. Would highly recommend!

The salesman needs more people skills don't waste your time having a conversation with people like this...
