Ron Skinner and Sons | Neyland

Just had the Citroen C3 Picasso, that James from Ron Skinner & Sons in Neyland recommended to me, for just over a week now. Very pleased with it indeed and very happy with the way things moved along quickly and smoothly. Thank you James & Team! 👍🚐😁

Booking an appointment with Phil Dury was straight forward. When we went in, we were offered refrehsments and transferred to Nicola to discuss finance. Given keys to the 4 vehicles I was interested in and allowed time to look around and sit in the cars. Test drives are not allowed sadly due to the pandemic. Discussions around finance were good, negotiations went well and the right car was decided on. Quite difficult to book the next appointment as was told they were going to be far too busy with enquiries to see us when when we were available (seemed strange as only one other person came in when we were there) However a suitable time was finally agreed. On our second visit, the new car was prepped and ready to pick up, all paperwork was completed efficiently and the keys handed over. I was told that as no test drives were allowed, I could drive the car for 24 hours and could return it then if I wished and choose a different car. On checking the car, the car mats that were in the boot on our first viewing had mysteriously disappeared. Was told the valeters must have removed them, they would find them on Monday and ring me. Sadly, this is where Neyland branch let themselves down. I would have expected a courtesy call to see if I was pleased with the car after my '24 hour test drive', no such call received. I also had no call regarding the mats. I had to ring to chase the car mats, spoke to Phil who said he would check with the valet team again and come back to me. No such call received. I had to go in the following Saturday to chase the mats AGAIN (when they also kindly replaced the battery in the key card, which had gone flat after a week's use). I was questioned whether they were actually in there in the first place or had I got confused with the other cars I had seen! I was advised that there were no such mats at Neyland and I would have to wait until the next Clio came in when I could have their mats. No offer to contact other branches to obtain Clio mats, and it seems I have to do all the chasing. So all in all, their point of sale service is spot-on (as you would expect when they want to make a sale) but sadly their after-sales service is somewhat lacking, hence the rating of 3/5.

Good choice and friendly and helpful staff. Although we ended up by elsewhere at Cazoo, I would certainly consider them in the future

I dealt with James whilst purchasing my new vehicle, he was extremely professional, knowledgable and helpful, as were all the staff at this branch. I would highly recommend.

Very disappointed with Neyland ron skinner I went in to have a look around seen a juke we liked they then valued my car to which they offered me a very poor £5700 for my car I said that was to low i left and had a phone call on Monday off the sales man to which I said I had been offered £6700 for the car he said they can't match that and today I have got £7000 for my car. I will never return to Ron skinner as I feel you tried to pull my pants down with that valuation.
