I had been here to get my marriage certificate and my wife birth certificate apostilled. Both documents were issued in Andhra Pradesh and both these documents had the GAD attestation from Velagapudi.nnIt's a straight forward process for Apostille:nnStep 1 - Get the photocopy of the attested document both front and back and also get a photocopy of the passport. Get a Postal Order of INR 50 per document. Postal Orders are available in post offices and can be obtained in any India Post. DO NOT write any thing on the Postal order, you can fill this up while you are submitting your documents. Also, carry your original passport for verification and the original documents you wish to get apostille.nnStep 2 - The doors open at 9:30am so be there on time. Applications are accepted only untill 11amnnStep 3 - Submit all the originals and photocopies along with the postal order. They will verify your passport and give it back to you immediately.nnStep 4 - Collect acknowledgment and come back the next business day evening at 4pm to collect your original document backnnAdditional notes:nnThere will be many agents who will approach you, DO NOT consult them. You can get this done by yourself and no middle man's help is required.nnRemember to take a pen with you so that you can fill the postal order and the sign where necessary.nnIt's a bureaucratic office so be patient with the staff. They are not the most friendliest bunch but being a government office there is not much one can expect.nnNo need to carry any passport photographsnnRemember to carry every documents which I have mentioned above and be there on time. No work with the office.... Many brokers over there be careful with them, they will cheat students specially who are in a hurry to get their documents attested .nExactly opposite to that office there is one brokers office k.g.n or something other name (brokers name-firoz) embassy works. Please, dont believe in them those idiots are very clam and friendly while taking documents and payment. They will give u three days time but u wont get any response till one week from them, if u try call them u will get an harsh response.. ..
