For nature lovers seeking a peaceful place, this is heaven. It is not just faraway from the concrete jungle but also keeps you away when u r there bcoz there is no network of most providers - I had airtel and jio and both didn't work. It's on the banks of a beautiful lake which is untouched from tourists where you can see beautiful sunrise and sunset. There is a ferry which takes u from one bank to another and u can get ur car on d ferry as well. The other side has a govt resort which has reasonably priced rooms for stay. You cannot expect any luxury on either side as there are basic cottages with basic facilities and eating options are also very limited but if u r looking for that, you can find plenty in your city - why go to kauncha. Himayvan has a huge garden which is maintained well. The only problem I had was when I arrived, there was not a single person from staff there. I spent an hour asking locals and found the brother of the caretaker who worked in some nearby restaurant. Also, himayvan is not popular so even if u ask someone just a few kms from there, they have no idea but GPS takes you exactly to the gate so trust that

Best place for weekend for everybody like friends, family and only boys, but one issue is that if there are electricity issue so you will not get water for bath and washroom, inverter is there in all separate rooms.

If you looking for literally Room ONLY....then it's ideal place.... lovely scenery right outside the room....very relaxing....far off from ALL the tourist place except for the gov garden..... basically this guest house is run by govt....have NO FOOD facility except the little dhaba outside gate....which serve ok kind of food with limited choice.....I'm glad we took some ready to eat food items...else to travel 50km thrice a day for food would be almost impossible......nnIdeally a good place for serene atmosphere....one can forget phone, people, traffic etc once you are here....nnSUGGESTION if you plan to stay here: take electric kettle from home for basic facility like tea coffee, some ready to eat meals, etc.....
