Applied for passport on 23rd Dec. Application process was smooth. I was told passport will be dispatched in 15-20 days. But, I haven't received passport until now (15th Feb). Reason on website: Passport application under review at Regional Passport Office. Upon contacting Customer service, I was asked to contact Regional Passport Office. But, contact number provided is not getting connected. Line is either busy, or keeps on ringing and gets disconnected after. Really disappointed with service provided.nnUpdate- I had to travel to Bhubaneswar from Bangalore, and took an appointment for enquiry at the RPO. Upon enquiry, I was told that application was on hold, but the approving officer himself wasn't aware of the reason. I informed him that all required documents were duly submitted during application, then he forwarded the application for police verification. Passport was dispatched about 2 weeks after this.nnApparently the person who had reviewed my documents during application, had put the application on hold and sent it for review to the final approver, without mentioning any specific reason. The approver hadn't even taken a look at the application, until I personally visited the RPO. This shows the sorry state of work culture here, hope it changes for the better.

The last time when I applied for passport. It was not at this place. But the experience was horrendous. Now compared to my past experience this time the process was absolutely fantastic. Proper sanitisation was done before entering and all employees followed mask protocols.
