Very bad experience. They don’t value time & will try to make money by rejecting the photos even if they were correct according to regulation & convince hard to join the premium. Very rude staff & if you ask any doubt/question, they would glare with a sign of disgust as if we are not humans. My visa appointment was at 11am. I came out of the application centre at 4 pm. They keep people waiting although there was not many people applying. I had a terrible experience at VFS Kolkata visa application centre. I’d rather stay in another city for 6 months so that I do not have to apply from there!! Worst!!

Absolutely disgusting, untrained and grossly unprofessional staffs...sitting and gossiping, making money. Worst worst & worst experience ever!

me and my gf went there for our UK visa interview just after the lockdown. we could barely see 2-3 people waiting for their turn which clearly implied there was not much stress on the staffs either. remind you, this was not the first time for us in that office. we found a guy called Shambaran Dey who was in charge of collecting our papers that were supposed to the sent to the embassy. i must say it was an unpleasant experience for both of us to stand and digest all his attitude without any fault of ours. we can expect a basic courtesy of being behaved properly with. the way he behaved felt like we did not know anything and he was the boss of the universe. i dont quite know what his frustration was all about. He did not even leave my gf out of his radar of anger too. we did not react back then in the office and we made it a point to bring to the notice of others after we received our VISAs. My previous experiences with the VFS global kolkata office have been very pleasent. i have known few of them personally too. Kolkata VFS office has some really efficent staff. There was Smriti who was obviously very helpful. what i dont get is why do they have to employ such people that brings down their reputation to the dust. This was the worst experience for us in the VISA office so far. i hope it helps people who are going there.

Horrible experience. Appointment system is full of bugs. The customer service does not even check your documents valid or not if you are a non premium customer. I traveled across the globe. For non prime customers (why does not pay hefty) this is the only VISA office who blindly accepts any documents without verifying. This leaves you into the possibility of delay or rejection after application reaches embassy. Dirty money making gang. No next day appointment for non-prime applicants and appointments are limited upto 8:45 AM for non-prime customers all other days! Rest of the day is allotted for prime applicants with heft fees. Unbelievable! SMS alert for VISA status is additionally payable 150 Rupees, a single backpack is charged 100 Rupees to deposit (mandatory). Printout is 20 Rupees. Customer care are always looking for possibility and suggesting you to become prime customer! WE MUST STOP VFS GLOBAL OPERATING. UTTERLY CHEAP MONEY MAKING GANG.
