Elephants should not be ridden, they are wild animals. We thought this was the most ethical place to see elephants in their natural habitat in Kerala from the description but it unfortunately wasn’t. The elephants are chained, two very tightly, so much so they can’t even lay down or stretch their legs. One was constantly swinging out of boredom which was very sad to watch. Help to stop the keeping of wild animals in captivity by avoiding any elephant attractions. If you do however ignore this and still visit please take as many bananas as you possibly can as this at least made the elephants happy in their miserable existence.
