Getting an appointment is a traumatic experience with VFS handling the slots inefficiently. Their system is opaque and gives one no clarity. Took me 4 months of mails, a lot of calls and mental agony to get an appointment.nBut once I did get an appointment the process was smooth and hassle free. The officials were clear and polite in the interview. They accept only DD for visa fee these days, I suppose. No card or UPI payments. However, I had cash with exact change and that was accepted too. Can't say if it's still accepted.

Attended interview for employment visa. It went well without any hassles. The visa fee has to be given as DD only and I had to take that but since there are a lot of nearby branches, it wasn't much of a problem. Everyone there was helpful.

This consultate has tie up with VFS Bangalore to book appointments. When I called VFS 2 days before,they asked me to raise a request through web form promising me possible appointment in next 1-2 months ,I recieved a response today saying that all new visa applications are on hold until further notice as directed by German consultate Bangalore.There is no clear communication on why there is sudden disruption,no clarity on when it will resume and one of the customer representative said it's because of lockdown.I told them there is a clear distinction between lockdown and curfew and they should not provide such misinformation. This is completely insane as although we have all the prerequisites for applying and a acquiring visas on timesudue to inefficiency of consultate and VFS in execution,many people have to suffer.I am still waiting when I would hear from VFS on waiting list and hopefully get an appointment

You need to take appointments. You will get a date that is 3 moths after, if you apply today. The security checks are very strict here. Only visa applicants are allowed inside the interview room. Other need to wait outside or upstairs. You can go for visa enquires after your interview from Monday to Thursday from 2 pm to 3 pm. Passport collection is also at the same schedule. you will be irritated by the securities but it is understandable that they are doing their duty

NB;You should carry 550 as courier charge in correct change ,keep some change they will not give balance as per covid 19 protocolnnWe well maintained building and infrastructure,there are sertain changes in the procedure due to covid 19 pandamic,no parking space for the visitors you have find another parking space for your car, they only enter us when our turn comes around so, we have to wait out side ,there is no chair or rest area on out side, of you have a baby then only you can accompany one more person to handle the baby during interview, security checking and some other procedures are on the down Stairs
