Nathmulls Sunset Lounge Tea Bar & Bakery

One of my favourite hangouts in Darjeeling !!!!nTheir tea is delicious ! Cakes are fresh and yummy ! The ambience and the view are just stunning - literally to die for!! Most importantly the owner and the staff are so warm and kind , consistently nice and that definitely makes one feel so welcomed.nOh and the choice of music is awesome too !nWhat more does one want - a delicious cup of tea , genuine people to talk to , super view and hear some of your favourite tunes.nI highly recommend this place !nYou can't miss this if you are in Darjeeling. I'm telling all my friends about this place . You should too !

Sunset Lounge of Nathmull’s is located at Chowrasta at the end of the Mall. One can also call it The Tea Bar as you get to sample a variety of Darjeeling teas before deciding which one to buy. They have a bewildering array of Black, Green and White Darjeeling teas varying in price from ₹400 per kg to ₹30000 per kg. One can also sample the aroma, texture and colour of the tea at the display counter.nWe relaxed in the Sunset Lounge, which had glass top round tables and cane chairs, adjacent to the Tea Bar, and sampled a cup of their Green Tea which they served up in a transparent tea cup, at a nominal price. One can also order snacks like muffins or pastries to go with the tea. On a clear day one can get an excellent view of the Kanchenjunga mountain and the sunset from the window.nOne can also buy some memorabilia and tea accessories like decorative and useful tea pots and cups in ceramic as well as metal. In addition there are fancy strainers and Tea Cosies. We purchased some packets of Green and Black teas, and souvenirs like fridge magnets and keychains with the tea motif, as small gifts for our friends back home.

Shop's owner were informatic about their different product and nice in nature. Different types of tea are available. Tea rates are higher than local small shops but products quality's is genuine.

I fell in love with this place during my stay in Darjeeling. I went there almost everyday. Their tea is out of this world. I didnt try their food though. Amazing view. Just take a table, order a pot of tea and sit there for a couple of hours with a book, while they play some fantastic old music on the system. If you are alone in the place, they will even take a request (i asked them to play Beatles songs and they complied). This lounge is a must visit.
