It's famous and fresh, though have started mixing coconut in Singauri mithai while earlier it was pure milk solids...
If you are visiting Almora or bypassing and you do want to taste or gift someone Almora's famous BAAL MITHAI then this is the ORIGINAL shop. Yes, you do have to enter in the main market, you do have to cross congested road and traffic. Both the BAAL MITHAI and BARFI is awesome. You can carry these as packed and they do survive 4 days of your travel period too. The shops outside the market aren't genuine ones.
This is still best in class sweets especially for Bal Mithai and Singori. Almora's two famous sweet. But I didn't feel the same quality as earlier 10 years.
