The experience was not bad but after seeing my documents the person directly rejected my application as I dnt have bank passbook and I have to reschedule my appointment like in 5-6 seconds. But only two address proof is required and I had voting card and adhar card so I went back inside and asked again and he let me in. So please be aware of what exactly you need to carry and prefer doing it from agent and the make fools of ppl who have less knowledge of this.

They settle around 200 applications per day, so it's crowdy. Sometimes one needs to wait as the procedure is too complex and verification takes time. But the staff is very co-operative and guides properly.

The working staff at this office is very incompetent. They are rude and work as if they are doing a favor on the citizens. A citizen comes in paying 1500 rupees and the person who sits on the table to whom you are directed to, treats you with complete insincerity and arrogance. It is his job and he should do it with respect otherwise he should be fired. The office does not have enough computers or any machines and it works more like a ration card office than a passport. It is way better to not opt for this office and go to Mumbai. These people will make you come again and again and will ask for irrational documents and would not communicate properly in the first place and then each time they will demand some new which may not be necessary at all.nWhen I say all this, I say all this on behalf of every poor helpless citizen who has suffered. Hope it helps.
