Lazy but-Efficient (11/22/2020)
I’m filing my formal complaint with the State of TN. I used them for a sewer line replacement in the beginning of the year. Sewer line backed up again in within 6 months. Spent the past two months trying to resolve it with the “warranty”. In some short words Michael’s Plumbing Service’s customer service and warranty are trash. They do not communicate internally or with the customer, you’ll spend your time and energy away from your job as the project manager of the issue you paid them to fix. You can tell the Scheduler what the issue is and they’re not going to communicate it to the tech they send out so it’s all a waste of time when the tech comes out unprepared. The Service Manager is never there to answer the phone so you get the Scheduler who doesn’t know plumbing. The Service Manager, when he answers the phone, may say that something will get done, but then no one shows up, called the Scheduler and it wasn’t even on the schedule to happen. They do not show up or call to say they’re not showing up. The sewer line warranty is trash. Anyway, more words than I care of use here. Also, I now have to find a company to fix what they refuse to fix under their warranty. 11/21 update: I’ve left messages with your service manager and he never returned them. Neither I nor the tenant have any knowledge of you meeting the city out there and he works from home. As I said, the city informed me the line was my responsibility even under the sidewalk. Anything they told me I told you, to bad that didn’t go both ways. I don’t even know who you talked to that day (whenever that occurred). I have since moved on to another company with more knowledge and willing to help me get a clear sewer line. Also they replaced your out of code 4” clean out near the street with a 6” clean out (gives access to the city to use their equipment without digging up the yard). And multiple plumbers said the 4” near the street wasn’t code. Also, they met with the city and I and the tenant saw that. They provided the city with the access to the sewer line I requested you provide, per the city. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

I paid Michaels more than $11,000 to repair a water line in my front yard, which was not the best quote that I received. That was nearly a year ago. As a part of this fee, they were supposed to patch the hole they needed to create in my driveway (which they charged me $1,000 to do). Well, they put some soft patching material that immediately sunk down, leaving a 1 foot deep ditch running through my driveway. Since that time, I have called their office no less than 20 times to have someone come fix the issue. Each time, I have been told that it would be taken care of immediately. Several times, people have come out and promised that they would come back, when they "had the right equipment". It has been nearly a year and I have reached my limit. I called them again last week and was told that someone would call me right back. Next stop is the BBB. I have been waiting for more than a year for this company to simply do what it said it would do. There is no way I can recommend this company for anything.

Everyone we worked with was friendly, efficient, and professional. The bonus for us is that our second project was actually cheaper than they quoted because they found a much easier solution when they got behind the wall to see what had been covered up by previous owners. I would absolutely hire them in the future.

Very impressed with how easy and fast this company was to use. Jeff J was awesome! Went above and beyond to fix all the issues I was having. Will definitely be calling him for any future plumbing issues!
