A very old sweet stall which is so famous for Kozhikkodan Halva with different flavour prepared in a natural way. The particular street at Kozhikkode was named as SM Street .There is a humourous story behind the name. The British people saw the reddish halwa shops in raws in that street. They thought that they were meat ,but tasted sweet.So they named the street SM which was the shortened form for Sweet Meat.
Bought halwas of tender coconut, traditional black and red, and chilli green after reading the reviews. They were good. Tender coconut halwa tend to change taste after one or two days, so buy in limited quantity. Liked the red traditional halwa the most.

The plain red one was hard as a rock, but was tasty if you consider it like a bubble gum.nBlack, dry fruits ones were really good.
