"Assisted" by a large man in his 40s. I'm still shocked by how incredibly rude this man was to me. I was trying to ship some purchases home, as I've done a several times over the last 2 months at small/large post offices across Europe. I don't speak any Italian (nor do I speak Dutch, German, French, etc.) and managed just fine and without the ugly attitude at other post offices!!! He was unwilling to ask a co-worker who might be more comfortable/willing to help in English or at least TRY to understand a gesture of a square and pointing to my bags might mean I was asking for a box! He brushed me off and clearly just wanted me to leave. You're the post office- people are only there for so many reasons! To ship, pick something up, buy a box and ship. I tried to use their wifi for translation assistance and he started tapping so loudly that everyone in the post office started looking at us. He "dismissed" me with a gesture and qued the next number. So, I asked other customers for the help HE should give to ALL customers (regardless of their gender, nationality, or language)! Some other customers, who did not speak English very easily knew what I was asking and asked a female employee about boxes. She then (politely I might add) spoke in broken English and answered my question. Beware the disgruntled and surly man.

5-6 minutes walk in a small alley (there’s a sign). Needed to post some excess baggage back to Australia. Attended by a very friendly and helpful postal worker (sorry I didn’t get this name) who spoke fluent English. A medium sized box cost €4 and if under 2kg cost €27 euros without a tracking number (cost doubles with tracking number). Items under 2kg will be sent like a letter via plane, quotes 10 days to 2 weeks arrival time.

This place is a joke. I was sending 2x parcels back to Australia. Excess luggage and little gifts for family. I had been here now for 2.5 hours and still not FINISH?! First they send me to get boxes. Then tapes..but no..clear was not good and had yo be brown. Then my boxes that I try to find is no good also and they don't have big boxes.?! Afyer walking around and managed to find boxes and tapes. I packed and thought it was over . But no...I spent an other 1 hr filling in forms. And she made me to do 4 forms and had to itemized each things and stating what materials were the shoes and bag??? I spent 3 hr in total and 2x boxes sea mail 9 kg was E112 !! It is ridiculous.

Incredible, even the Post Office is trying to get you in this God forsaken town. The lady weighted a post card and two 50 cent coins of hers together, before charging 1.85 euros for mailing it within Europe ! (The cost should be 65 cents) Obviously cash payment and no receipt. Shame on you Italian crooks. One euro won't change my life, but bad taste in my mouth will remain for a long time.
