Avis Autonoleggio - Malpensa Ferno

If I could put less than 1 stars here, I would. We reserved a small 3 door car for 2 weeks driving around Como/ North Italy region. Obviously, we reserved this on purpose due to the narrow streets in Como and difficulties parking. We were then advised at the desk they didn't have the car we reserved and they would provide an "upgrade" - to a 9 seater Renault Trafic van. They said we should count ourselves lucky that they are giving us a vehicle (appalling). Because we didn't want to sleep on the streets of Milan, we took it, were unable to swap it for 5 days and then they had the cheek to bill us £75 refuelling costs. A disgusting and disgraceful experience. Do not rent here. ** Edit - Company has since refunded for the refuel cost following this review.

DON’t BOOK FROM THEM!! THIS IS A JOKE!!!!!! People’ve been waiting for hours!! worst customer service ever!!!! They only have 1 operator working and 40 people in the que!! YOU ARE TERRIBLE !!! I already lost 1 hour from my renting time!! Don’t even bother to answer to this review AVIS!! YOU DON’T GIVE A S**T ANYWAY!!!!

Awful service. We booked a car to be picked up in the morning, however ended up spending 3 hours at their desk to then cancel our reservation (with a refund which I am hoping to get) and spoiling a day of holiday. Their desk is very busy and it takes an hour to get to see one of their operators, to then find out that you have to wait an additional 20 minutes for a call from their call center where you are asked to dictate your driving licence and passport detail (they say it's a covid measure to avoid gatherings, but of course everybody gathers outside of their office - could this not be done online previously???). You then have to wait again to be seen by an operator, to hear that they have no cars on your category and that they can upgrade you, to realise that they are actually offering something in a lower category. You try to complain and they tell you that there are no cars but some might come back within one hour and that it'll take another hour to sanitise the car. A joke. All the other car rental providers are empty in Malpensa, I highly recommend you rent from another one even if it means spending a bit more, and save yourself a day of holiday or work.

Straight Up CROOKS!!!!! I rented and paid for a car 4 months prior to arriving. Once I arrived they did not have the car I rented nor one in the category. I fought with them on giving me a better deal which they did, HOWEVER, when I returned the car they charged me an additional $900.00! FOR WHAT? They were closed at the time I returned the car so I had to deal with this over the phone. Adding to my frustration, NO ONE has explained to me what the charge is for and I've been hung up on over a dozen times. I did not authorize these charges and they're now giving me the runaround. THEY ARE SCUM!

Took over 2 hours to get the car ... only 2 staff working and over 50 customers. Absolutely terrible customer experience. Avoid at all costs
