A beautiful and great art museum. Even children knows how to have fun in it. English gyidance would be helpful. And add and publicize some children activities on art,please

I agree that museums give local people a chance to experience something different or new as their obligation. But I wish this museum be a means of more expressing Oita’s identity. Architecture was good. Of course, exhibition was good. But this place’s real charm i felt was introducing local artist’s art works and artisan’s crafts. Sadly, it seemed to be a one-time event. 건물도 멋지고 외부전시도 멋지지만 최고는 지역 예술가, 장인들의 작품이나 공예품 전시/판매.

Very unique building in Oita. Houses a lot of interesting exhibitions in it.

Good place for a day visit. You can walk around for free and it’s only a few hundred yen for each of the larger exhibits. Also a nice little cafe on the second floor for lunch.
