This was so informative of the Japanese culture and history in this area. We even got a tourist discount( 300¥). I am so glad we went. The whole area of beach and country sight is just so very relaxed beautiful. And the locals are super friendly.

For 300 ¥ (tourist discount at time of visiting) a total steal. They feature an extensive collection of the history of the region and the important regional shrine, the Izumo Taisha, from the beginnings of human settlement. Apart from the beautiful exhibitions the staff is the icing on the cake. The friendliness and seriousness are as of yet unmatched even in Japan.

Not enough English translation, I didn't understand much of this museum... Staff is really nice though.
