Great place to take my kids. Staff is always friendly and it's not overly crowded. Has fun shows too.

There were actually a lot of interesting exhibits. My favourite were the sea lions and penguins. I hope they are well treated, have space to live, and not forced to do tricks all the time. Unfortunately due to COVID, the touch tank was closed and the sea lion show had a limited number of seats. Therefore I suggest going at another time when it is safer. However, for the price, it was well worth it.

A clean, lovely aquarium that has a wide variety of sea life and a cute seal show. Hosts some native species and has educational signs that are in English as well as Japanese. Very nice for a family outing.

I’m not sure if I just came in on a wrong week or something, but when it came to the sea lions, penguins and larger animals, there was nothing impressive or lovely about it. The penguins were placed in a room that was small and with barely any water for them to swim in. They were scattered around trying to get in front of the A.C air vents, i guess it seemed that the room they were in was not in a room with the correct temperature for these creatures. The sea lions were in a tank that was a little over half their size, big enough to swim in circles for endless hours. My most concerned part was how dirty the water was, practically brown. Swimming in their own feces. Bleh. Other than that, it was relatively nice, but certainly not a sanctuary kind of environment.

I saw very few descriptions in English and found google searching each and every fish by name rather tedious even though I was curious about this part. Regardless of above, the live show with sea lions (?) in the end was a very nice addition!
