Fantastic display of many species of jellyfish, the best I've seen so far.

Very unique aquarium in the beautiful Shonai region. Home to Japan's largest collection of jellyfish. They have regular shows (Japanese only), which explain the different characteristics, growth cycles and feeding habits of jellyfish. At the Jellyfish Dream Theater, you can gaze at jellyfish in a large circular tank as live piano music plays in the background.

A place you have to visit in Yamagata Prefecture. Very interesting educational place with awesome jellyfish. It's cost not expensive, but worth it experience. There's a bus shelter if you want to go there by public transport.
