Suokokubunji

Not much to see really.

Its located in a residential area so please be quiet ^^

I visited early in the autumn season. There is a parking lot on the west side. As the sun rises from the east side, you can enjoy the look of Kokubunji. You can exchange morning greetings with the locals who take a walk. There is a well where Sugawara no Michizane is said to have drawn his face by copying his own face. There is a tree near it, and it seems that a hornet is building a nest in the high place. I don't think there is any harm if you do nothing. Please look for it (laughs)

A distinctive architectural style is used. Also, I was able to see the statue of Yakushi Nyorai in the main shrine while listening to the commentary. It was the first time I entered the main shrine and the first time I saw a statue with commentary.

Kokubunji is the only place in Japan that has remained the same since its construction. The hall is like a treasure hall. Admission is required, but we recommend that you check it out. The management said that there would be many such things in Kyoto, but there are not many in Kyoto. I think it's quite valuable.
