DO NOT RENT from Hertz Mexico. I rented using expedia and include the insurance. When I pickup the car, I was told that if I wanted to use their insurance they will "hold" as deposit $60,000 in my credit card. And even after buying their own, they freeze $10,000. The car was in bad mechanical shape, it overheated when going thru Rumorosa to Ensenada city. To return the car we had to call 1-800 number because the place was closed at 5PM when they told me it will be open until 8PM (and that's the time in the website). The car look in so bad shape too, didn't even have the passenger handle to open the door.

Don’t waste your money and time with this company. Horrible service. I booked online for a 2 day rental. When I arrived to mexicali I took a taxi $. To my surprised Their business location has been closed for months and neglected to update on their website. I had to get 2 more taxis since there are 2 Hertz near by and 1 of them they don’t validate your online reservation. Arrived 2:30 hrs later to the LOCATION, attendant didn’t have my saved car to rent, didn’t care my ordeal and top of that -the price given is not accurate. They will up-sale you a different available CAR for double the price. You will need to use a credit card and place a hold for $1388 dlls. Deductible. DONT WASTE TIME. Super unprofessional. I had to give 1 Star for my review but they deserve 👎zero !
