As a female solo traveler, I relish my independence and confidence when it comes to travel. I strongly suggest as a female that you go with somebody kayaking. I feel comfortable in every neighborhood I walk through, however If you decide to walk there some females might feel uncomfortable because of the stray dogs (who don't bother you) or if you are uncomfortable not walking around your Beverly Hills 90210 area. Again I have no problems and I have no prejudgments. As for the kayaking, you're totally on your own. There is no lifeguard, no one to pull you in and no one to make sure you're OK. The staff was very pleasant and the prices cannot be beat. Kayak on!

Great place to go if you want to kayak through the mangroves! If you're lucky you will get to see the fauna that lives in the area, like alligators and flamingos. Also tons of mosquitoes so make sure you spray yourself with plenty of bug spray!

Amazing kayak tour through the mangroves of the Yucatán, best to do at sun set! It ended with burgers and marshmallows after you kayak through the mangroves they take you to and island to eat dinner!

It is a heavenly place, for those of us who love nature, the cayak ride was perfect, I enjoyed it at 1000%, I recommend it 100%, the treatment of those who attend is very friendly, very nice people, super accessible prices, and at finish your walk you can have a cold and delicious beer, I will return without a doubt

Very good place, if you have your own kayak they charge you 100 pesos to lower it and have very good access to the mangroves, they also sell food and beer
