Its hard for me te decide between three and four stars. It was very inexpensive, about $30 US for a room with two beds and a bathroom but the quality of the room was garbage, thankfully there are others with far better rooms, cleaner and prettier. For a last minute hotel, it worked just fine but i would only be able to stay in such a place if i needed something cheap and last minute. The people who work there are so wonderful and pleasant, they sell toiletries and snacks and you can tell they put so much care and love into this family owned hotel, I am happy to put my money into it but hopefully they update and remodel some.

Hello; without planning a hotel stay at Tecate, we found Nuevo Hotel Colonial, it was a perfect location and a cute little place to stay. We got a room downstairs with a full bathroom, a/c and heater. Staff was very hospitable and very greaful just like everyone in that little beautiful town. Planning going back soon!
