Aeropuerto Internacional de Chichen Itzá CZA / MMCT

Vary small but modern airport that is mainly used by small planes ferry tourists from the cruise ships to visit the ancient buildings at Chichen Itza. When we passed through the airport there were oy six other passengers and what appeared to be two members of staff. So why it is called an International airport I do not know as no large aircraft could ever land here on the very small runway. The interior was very clean and well maintained.

Gf and I charted a plane from Playa Del Carmen to Chichen Itza. Saved us a few hours roundtrip driving so it was worth it. Pilot walked us through the airport and we were the only ones in the whole airport asides from the staff - security was a breeze. I recommend flying through here as it will save you time
