Absolute gem of puerto Escondido! Feels like an island off the coast of Panama or something. You have 2 options for getting here (1) Enter through Villa Mexicana Hotel - You have to pay 70 pesos but then you get a beer and a hamburger or 2 beers when you’re on the beach. (2) Enter for free by parking at Bacocho Beach and walking across. You have to walk across a few rocks but it’s an easy crossing.

Really beautiful small beach without a lot of people. At the entrance you can lock up your bike and buy some cold water or juice, then you walk down a steep path to get to the beach and it’s so pretty. A bit rocky to walk on and strong undercurrent so not my favorite for swimming but was dippable and pleasant, looked like people were having a good time snorkeling and we loved that it wasn’t very busy.

This IS the BEST beach in Puerto Escondido. But don’t tell that to anyone, we don’t want people to know about it. It’s beautiful, the sea has an amazing color here, the waves are just perfect, the temperature is refreshing without being cold, there are no restaurants with sun-beds or anything like that, and the people who come here are considerate and friendly. Alternative, hippie atmosphere and beautiful sunsets. Simply put, it’s a heaven on earth.

Lovely place to sit and watch the sunset over the pacific! Short walk or bike from town but that's enough to make it less crowded, take some beers (and take them away when you've finished) .

Nice beach and not very crowded. Take your time to relax, but bring your own food and water. There’s no shop or restaurant.
