Mayan Palace at Vidanta Acapulco

We stayed at the Maya Palace Playa for a week. I am not sure why this is listed as a 3 star resort. It’s at least 4 star. The rooms a beautiful, high standard of finishes and cleaned daily by very attentive staff. The pool area is beautiful and there is a beautifully maintained white sandy beach that stretches for miles. There was entertainment most nights but we don’t speak Spanish so it’s didn’t appeal to us. Not speaking Spanish was definitely a barrier to fully enjoying the resort. There are a couple of negatives to comment on. The food was good at the Italian restaurant but the other main restaurant where we had sushi the food was terrible. The biggest negative at present for this resort is the construction next door which apparently has been going on for years. The jack hammers pounded all day making it almost impossible to enjoy the pool area during the day. It’s almost impossible to get off site without taking a taxi. We wanted to take a walk down to the supermarket but there were no public paths out of the resort - just roads. We felt totally safe in Acapulco. It’s really beautiful. Best resort area we have been to in Mexico by far. If they ever get the construction completed next door we would definitely return!

Very nice and beautiful installations. It has everything a resort needs. The breakfast buffet is very good.

This place is amazing! The vast gardens, pools and Mayan vibe makes it easier to relax and enjoy your days off. Staff is more than friendly and always ready to help with any request. The complex has a private beach, pools for kids, golf area, tennis area, and many other amenities. Totally recommended for families traveling with children.

What a wonderful place, sorrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes, wide rooms and super kind personal attention

This place is the top of the top. Now that I have stayed here, it is hard to stay at any other resort! The staff were excellent, and even though there was the language barrier, they did a great job helping us. I loved the beach access and the pools were amazing! There were so many to choose from! I loved the lazy river and the infinity edge pool. Fantastic Sea turtles adventure and other wildlife to spot. The rooms are well kept and very clean. I also loved the night events! It was so much fun to go to those! They were put on very nicely. I would definitely recommend!!
