amazing caves with lots of history. we had a great english speaking tour guide who gave us very detailed information. recommend going early to avoid the crowds!

It is a very wonderful place. I really enjoyed my tour through the caves thanks to the guides that accompanied us. They explained all the details of the place and helped us on more than one occasion not to tread badly or get lost somewhere

This place is amazing. Well kept. Clean. However, there are specific tour hours. Check this out, before you make the trip down there. It is approx. 1.5 hours from Mérida.

Interesting cave to visit. The bad thing is you have to pay for parking & for the entrance & for the guide (which was said to be mandatory). There is not any official information about those prices so the guys make you pay what they want (30$ for parking and 800$ for the guide for a group of 8 people in our case). The descriptions inside the cave don't bring much useful information. The guide does bring a little but I would have expected much more. The cave is worth the tour however as it is a very huge one!

Magnificent cave! Essentially an underground cathedral, or more precisely several cathedrals. Prehistoric petroglyphs and paintings made by cave people, and some apparently by Mayans
