Cozumel International Airport

It's cozumel. It is small. It is hot, but you are in a tropical country. Bring snacks with you, they sell theirs for a lot of $. Get there early for your flight. Make sure you have all your documents ready before you come. We rented a car from Hertz and it was great. I would rent a car instead of paying for expensive shuttles or taxis all over town. Driving there is easy. We drove all over the entire island for the week without any trouble.

Small airport, friendly and knowledgeable staff.... clean and taking many COVID 19 precautions

Everyone was very pleasant from check in to security to gate personnel. We experienced no delays on the way in or out. There is a duty free store, drugstore, souvenir shop, and a small restaurant if you need to grab a bite to eat while waiting for your flight. Skip the rental car area after departures and go across the street to Alamo, as they have much better rates and won't try to sell you a timeshare for a discount.

It's nice to see that is back alive. Two flights came in and it was a little wait to get out of there. Hung on you all, we are all trying hard to get things back to normal.

Great airport, but beware of the crew of people you encounter in the arrival area after going through customs. They are dishonest, and will try to sell you package deals that you don't want. They'll also lie to you about your rental car (ours was Budget, across the street) and they will tell you that you can't take your car on the ferry to the mainland. Total BS. Do not fall for it. Just politely move on and don't get sucked into their sales pitch.
