Alamo Rent A Car

Arrived to the counter with my reservation number in hand. The first words out of the representatives mouth were, we will not give you a car if you don’t pay the additional 2,900 pesos in insurance. I had already paid 1,350 pesos for insurance. That would bring my grand total to 8,600 pesos for 5 days. The representative could not provide any documentation to backup this “claim” while continuously demands the money. I then ask, what happens if I pay this money? She responds, “well we don’t have a car for you anyway.” In summary, she never had the car but was demanding “additional insurance” upfront. I went to Hertz and was treated very well. 4,100 pesos for 5 days in an SUV, insurance included. I would avoid this Alamo at all costs. Go with Hertz!

Very easy to rent cars, they make discounts, very good service

They have a lot of cars, prices are accessible in low season, the car is rented with wide coverage insurance, the cars are of recent model and very clean, in general good service
