Upon moving here, I was referred here with a prescription by the Amsterdam Tourist Doctors after a consultation prior to getting my Dutch health insurance arranged. Having arranged my insurance and filing a claim, I was informed by the insurance company that the price is approximately 97.80% more than the usual price of the prescription for which the insurance company have refused to reimburse, advising me to contact the pharmacy. I came to the store and was given an email of the pharmacist to contact. I have sent an email but have not received any response until now. Will not recommend them for prescriptions. I will consider escalating this to the appropriate authorities.
For your information, numbing creams are sold in the Netherlands without needing to consult a doctor. It is called Lidocaine/prilocaine. I just bought some from an other chemist. I hope you just got lost in translation and maybe didn't understand what I was asking. verdoven cream was my request. No doctor needed for that.

A telephone lady helped us out. Something sterile (Euro 2,16) that we needed was in stock, only it was 10 minutes before closing.

All kinds of goods, from perfumery to pharmacy. Staff is kind and they have all the commodities you might need. A true life saver, as it was open even on Christmas Day. I have only needed a tootbrush but I ended up buying something more.
