I was a bit skeptical after seeing some bad reviews specifically about delivery, however this shop was still recommended to me by a friend. I decided to bite the bullet on his advice and ended up in their store and was personally attended to by 2 of their customer service reps who addressed all my concerns regarding bad ratings mentioning delivery. They also spent a lot of time with me helping me pick out the furniture & informed in advance that their delivery time would be 6 months due to corona, which was long but good as they were transparent about it. I finally decided to place the order and the order as pointed out was delivered in 6 months & was assembled professionally in the living room. My verdict - Long delivery time due to corona BUT Very transparent & very good service, however you have to be a bit careful and point out firsthand before the purchase that the delivery process should be excellent.

Quality is really dependent on the furniture. We have bought a dinning table of very good quality but the chairs from the same shop are of very cheap quality and I am not sure that they will last many years. We bought a tv stand of good quality and the sofa table which was advised with it by the seller are not of good quality.

Pas op! Careful! Make your choice in the store if you have to, but order online. If you order in the store, you have no right to return the item (to clarify, even if the item is standard). We ordered a standard coffee table, we were told it would take 6 months to deliver, then tried to cancel our order and cannot get our money back. If you can, pick a furniture store with better customer service policies.

I must say we were very disappointed by the customer service at De Bommel. Firstly, the delivery men were rude and seemed to be rushing when they delivered our dining chairs. They didn't give me time to check our purchases and insisted I sign the delivery papers. Once we assembled them, we found that the legs damaged our wooden floor. We called customer service and asked if they could do something about it for us and they just referred us to a website where we can buy pieces to attach to the chair legs. When we asked if we could return the chairs they said that's only possible with a voucher for 70% of the value of the goods. It seems as though they don't want repeat customers. They are also way over the top in trying to sell their 'Bommel care packet' which is a complete waste of money. Good luck to them because this isn't how you get loyal customers.
