-edit- The complaint below has been resolved properly. We are now a few months later and the cabinet is still working great! The cabinet was initially delivered properly. Unfortunately, it turned out that the sliding doors were warped, so that they could no longer be slid back and forth without making a loud noise. From that moment on, contact with custom cabinets in Alkmaar was very difficult. We have called many times without answering at the other end of the line. We also sent several emails and regularly had to sit behind the best man's pants before it was responded to / resolved. Eventually an appointment was made to place tensioners on the warped doors due to circumstances, that appointment was only e-mailed. And it was promised that we would be called on Monday the following week to make a new appointment. Unfortunately, this has not happened yet. We have called afterwards ourselves, only the best man cannot be caught. The man himself is a very friendly man, only keeping appointments seems to be very low on his list of priorities. To date, we still have a beautiful built-in wardrobe that makes such a noise when we want to use it that it wakes up our 10-month-old son. In the end, we are unfortunately not satisfied customers at the moment. We hope this can still be resolved quickly. * edit * Correct comment from the folks at MKA below. We were also satisfied with the handling. The only thing we encountered was the telephone accessibility, the speed of response to our emails and the failure to honor call appointments. We understand that if you (in my opinion) almost only run a business that makes it difficult to keep track of everything when it is busy. It would have reassured us if we had received an email saying that it is very busy and he tried to arrange a solution within 3 weeks. Then you know where you stand. Now we sometimes got the feeling that we had been “forgotten”. Fortunately, this was proved wrong later. Ultimately, the problem was resolved properly and we are satisfied with the end result. 4 stars for the service and the thinking of the people of Maatkasten Alkmaar. If something could be done about the accessibility by telephone and the e-mail answering, I think that would be advantageous for MKA and its customers. Again, we are pleased, thank you for the beautiful, well-functioning custom cabinet!
