Over the course of a few months, we went to look at various fireplaces in North Holland. During this orientation phase we immediately had a good feeling at De Schouw. When our plan took concrete forms, we placed the final order at De Schouw. They always thought along well. Ultimately, the size and capacity of our fireplace fits well with the space and our (well-insulated) new-build home. The furniture that De Schouw made in its own workshop matches the rest of the furniture (sleek modern, white, white oak with Belgian hard stone top). It has become beautiful. The concrete drilling in our new-build home and the construction of the stovepipe to the roof were pretty exciting in advance, but this was done very tightly, professionally and almost dust-free. Compliments for the installers of the fireplace. Tip: Have the layout of the fireplace and the furniture sketched, then have the fireplace installed and then measure the furniture perfectly in the home. It takes a few more weeks after the fireplace has been placed, but the furniture can then be perfectly made to measure and it is possible to talk to De Schouw's craftsmen about certain details that, in our opinion, are the finishing touches. goods.
